Manager - Technical Accounting and Implementation

This individual will be responsible for overseeing the implementation of full-scope implementation of SOX 404(b) by liaising with internal audit and monitoring and addressing identified control gaps. Individual will also be responsible for analyzing and implementation new technical accounting matters such as ASC 606, lease accounting and ad hoc technical accounting matters.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Oversee internal audit project and liaise with internal/external audit teams to ensure SOX 404(b) readiness
• Oversee implementation of the new revenue recognition and lease accounting standards
• Manage and perform ad hoc accounting research in support of accounting consultations for the business
• Identify, assess, and document the accounting implications of non-routine transactions
• Manage and perform annual technical accounting projects (including goodwill impairment and capitalized software reviews)
• Monitor issuance of new FASB pronouncements and prepare summary evaluation and project plans for implementation

Minimum Qualifications (Education, Experience, Skills):
• Technically proficient in US GAAP (especially ASC 805, ASC 350, ASC 718)
• Critical thinker that thoroughly evaluates all potential accounting implications and solutions associated with a particular issue
• Strong verbal and written communication skills including ability to concisely communicate project status and key issues for management attention
• Strong standardization, process and detail orientation skills to manage the preparation, organization, exchange of information, working papers, supporting schedules using standard naming and archiving conventions
• Minimum of 5 years of public accounting experience
• Certified Public Accountant

Attendance Requirements:
Due to the nature of Health Insurance Innovations needs, regular and reliable attendance is required. Individuals must be able to work at least a 40 hour work week, Monday through Friday, and be available as situations arise requiring extended hours.
